MALAYSIA TECHNOLOGY EXPO: SUSTAINABLE ENERGY AND GREEN TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL INNOVATION AWARDS (MTE:SEGT) 2024 – FTKKP RESEARCHERS WIN GOLD MEDAL & SPECIAL AWARD
Congratulations to Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Ruzinah Isha and her research team from Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Technology, UMPSA for their remarkable achievement at the Malaysia Technology Expo: Sustainable Energy and Green Technology International Innovation Awards (MTE: SEGT) 2024.
Their innovative project, "Municipal Waste Transforming to Gasoline in a Mobile Pyrolyser," secured the prestigious Gold Medal and the Best International Invention and Innovation Special Award from the National Research Council of Thailand.
The research team comprised Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Ruzinah Isha as the project leader, along with Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Wan Mohd Hafizuddin Wan Yussof and Puan Hafizah Ramli from FTKKP, and Ir. Ts. Aideelnorfahmee Mohamad from PPPH, whose collective dedication and expertise were instrumental in achieving this recognition.
The Malaysia Technology Expo: Sustainable Energy and Green Technology International Innovation Awards (MTE:SEGT) 2024 was successfully held virtually from 18-20 December 2024, recognizing groundbreaking innovations and solutions aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 7, 9, 11, and 13.
This prestigious event was supported by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), and Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), and organized by Professional Trade Exhibitions and Meeting Planner (PROTEMP) in collaboration with award partners from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), SIRIM, and Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP).
Additionally, another innovative project from UMPSA, "SeaPo - Seaweed-Based Feed for Sustainable Poultry," led by Chm. Dr. Nazikussabah Binti Zaharudin (FIST), also won a Silver Medal and a Special Award from the Malaysia Sustainable Green Energy Association.
