Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Technology (Petroleum) will enable students to acquire substantial knowledge and comprehensive understanding in a combination of chemical and petroleum disciplines to equip graduates with broad expertise that can be applied in industry, as well as equip students with professional skills to enhance employability. This course contain chemical and petroleum engineering technology contents with the main emphasis on fluid mechanic and thermodynamic, engineering economy and management, geosciences, reservoir, well drilling and completion, production and petroleum process technology.

PLO1 Knowledge: Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to defined and applied engineering procedures, processes, systems or methodologies.
- PLO2 Problem analysis: Solve broadly-defined engineering problems systematically to reach substantiated conclusions, using tools and techniques appropriate to their discipline or area of specialisation.
- PLO3 Development of solutions: Design solutions for broadly-defined engineering technology problems, and to design systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, as well as cultural, societal, environmental and sustainability concerns.
- PLO4 Investigation: Plan and conduct experimental investigations of broadly-defined problems, using data from relevant sources.
- PLO5 Modern Tool Usage: Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering tools, with an understanding of their limitations.
