UMP, Gambang Campus 16 July 2021 – An online talk with undergraduate students from Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Technology (BTK) has been organized by FTKKP BTK Quality Team. The main objective of the talk is to provide information on awareness and preparation for the full accreditation of the program by Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT). The invited speaker for the program was Ts. Dr Raihana Zahirah binti Edros. She had an experience as MBOT evaluation panel, external assessor panel and currently is a BTK program internal auditor. The two hours sharing session were participated by almost 90 students. The talk introduced to the students on MBOT accreditation as well as clear definition and role of engineering technologist vs engineering. The talk was also explained on the route for graduate technologists to qualified as Professional Technologist (Ts.). Many tips and motivations were shared during the session such as faculty initiatives, support systems through academic advisor and the design of program to ensure BTK student will be able to qualify as graduate technologists. Ultimately, at the end of the program, the student is expected to understand about the important of MBOT accreditation.
