A WARM AND FRIENDLY GATHERING WITH UMPSA FOUNDATION STUDENTS
Dual Degree Program of Bachelor of Chemical Engineering with Honours from FTKKP, UMPSA and Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering and Technology from School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Tianjin University (TJU), China.
A friendly program was conducted between the Chemical Engineering Program (BKC) of the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering (FTKKP) and the Foundation students of UMPSA on September 5, 2023.
The event was attended by Dr. Mazni Ismail (Deputy Dean of Research and Post Graduate Studies), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sunarti Abd Rahman (Head of the BKC Program), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chua @ Yeo Gek Kee and Dr. Chew Few Ne (Coordinator of the Dual Degree BKC-TJU Program) from FTKKP. Additionally, a virtual presence was maintained on that day by Ms. Zhou Ying (Teaching Secretary for undergraduate affairs) from the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology at Tianjin University (TJU), China.
From Ms. Zhou Ying, students were exposed to topics such as Introduction to TJU, Introduction to Chemical Engineering and the prospect of Graduate employability. Meanwhile, Assoc. Prof Dr. Sunarti explained about benefits of Dual Degree program, routes and screening criteria also differences in fees. During the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman Mohd Kasim, who serves as the advisor for foundation students, provided valuable insights and information.
The foundation students actively engaged with questions, and by the end of the session, they expressed their satisfaction and excitement, expressing hope that they would join the Dual Degree BKC-TJU program.
