As part of the DRK2382 Plant Utility course for the Diploma in Chemical Engineering, students are required to organize an Industrial Visit that would help to bridge the gap between the classroom and real-world industry operations.

 

A total of 99 students were involved in the visits to different companies. During these visits, students focused on one of the utility equipment options: a boiler or a cooling tower. Their findings need to be documented, and a report must be submitted by the end of the course.

 

As we wrap up our Industrial Visits for the Plant Utility course, we would like to express our appreciation to everyone who made this journey possible.

 

Huge thanks to the companies that welcomed us! Your insights and real-world applications have transformed our textbook knowledge into living experiences. Thank you to all our amazing DRK lecturers who helped make the visits a reality. We also would like to express our gratitude to the unsung heroes of our trips – the staff from the UMPSA transportation department (JPPH). Their seamless coordination ensured our travels were safe and comfortable.
