Velesto Energy Berhad, formerly known as UMW Oil & Gas Corporation Berhad, is a Malaysian-based offshore drilling company. Velesto Energy specializes in the provision of drilling services for the upstream oil and gas industry.In addition to its drilling services, Velesto Energy also provides integrated services such as well services, oilfield equipment rentals, and tubular inspection services. These additional offerings allow the company to provide comprehensive solutions to its clients in the oil and gas industry.

In an effort to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications, 20 students from Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Technology (Petroleum) Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang embarked on an educational visit to the Velesto Energy Berhad Warehouse situated in KSB Kemaman. Our visit was warmly received by Mr. Monojit Chalica (Head Shared Services), Human Resources representative Miss Zulaikha, Miss Nayli and Mr. Rosnan, as well as the warehouse staffs, including Mr. Sepkuzir, Mr. Shahrul, Mr. Rozi and other staf.

In addition to the site visit, we were also provided with valuable information about internship opportunities and the Velesto Training Scheme. We express our gratitude to Mr. Syazwan and Mr. Faizal for granting us the opportunity to embark on this visit. We do hope for more collaboration and engagement between UMP and Velesto in the future.
