On 13 September 2023, UMPSA has organized a research seminar featuring two distinguished speakers from FTKKP, UMPSA which were Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Ruzinah and Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Herma Dina in Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh. The seminar was attended by the lecturers from Faculty of Chemical Engineering (FCE), IUH. The seminar was designed to provide valuable insights into the research journey, from undergraduate projects to published journal manuscripts, as well as strategies for publishing in high-impact factor journals and leveraging software or apps in academic writing. Talk given by Associate Professor Ts. Dr Ruzinah entitled “From Undergraduate Research Project to Published Journal Manuscript: Sharing Experience and A Comprehensive Guide” while Associate Professor Ts. Dr Herma Dina shared her experience in publication by giving talk given entitled “How to Publish in High Impact Factor Journal and Application of Software/Apps In Writing”.

The empowerment of STEM activities for IUH students were continued in Day 3 where the students were given the task to challenge their knowledge in Chemical Engineering such as material and energy balance, mass transfer and analytical chemistry. This STEM activity was led by Dr. Asmida who has designed the module entitled “Find your True Colors ”. Day 3 was ended with souvenirs and prize giving ceremony led by the Dean of FTKKP, UMPSA. Prizes and certificates were distributed to the winning teams and students from IUH. These prizes served as tokens of appreciation for their hard work and achievements in various STEM challenges and projects.
