12 September 2023, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh (IUH) - On Day 2 of the UMPSA International CSR Program at Vietnam, the team embarked on a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative with IUH to empower students from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering (FCE) at IUH. The objective of this initiative was to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education and provide learning opportunities to young talents in the field of chemical engineering. UMPSA organized a series of STEM activities specifically designed to engage and inspire students from FCE, IUH. There was a total of 50 students involved in these STEM activities. These activities covered a range of topics, including chemical engineering principles, laboratory techniques, and real-world applications of STEM concepts.

The activities started with the ice breaking session that led by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Sumaiya Zainal Abidin@Murad, Dean of Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Process Technology, UMPSA, followed by the STEM activity led by Ir. Dr. Mohd Sabri Mahmud that implement the practical skills and knowledge in chemical engineering specifically in designing adsorption column for treating wastewater. We look forward to the continued success and expansion of such initiatives to empower future generations of STEM professionals.
