ASPENTECH UG ENHANCEMENT CURRICULUM PROGRAM
The Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Technology was successfully organizing AspenTech Undergraduate Enhancement Curriculum Program to enhance the current Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Technology with Honours (BTK) curriculum with AspenTech’s software solution. This training aims to empower students with Aspen Plus software to support digitalization and IR4.0 and to establish engineering proficiency among students while applying theoretical concepts from earlier coursework. There are four (4) courses from BTK programme were selected for this training namely Computer Aided Design and Process Simulation (BTK2274), Separation Process I (BTK3214), Chemical Reactor Technology (BTK2284) and Heat Transfer (BTK2263). All participants were given a Certificate of Completion certified by AspenTech. This training benefits the BTK program with industrial recognition from AspenTech. These three days of training starting from 31st January - 2nd February 2023 was conducted by Mr Kent Ooi, an AspenTech’s Instructor-led Training attended by 120 undegraduate students. This training aligns with the UMP Strategic Plan 2021-2025 agenda of High-Level TVET Excellence and Innovation with Industrial Collaboration Working on UMP-Industry Technical Capabilities.
